About Stockfish Chess
Stockfish is not really an app — it's the open-source engine that powers analysis inside Chess.com, Lichess, ChessBase and half the other apps in this directory. The official Stockfish Chess iOS/macOS app by Daylen Yang is a minimal front-end purpose-built for deep analysis: feed it a PGN or FEN, watch Syzygy tablebase probes, MultiPV lines, and WDL probabilities. Not a playing app — competes with LucasChess and Nibbler for the 'pure analysis board' slot. Free, ad-free, GPLv3.

- Syzygy tablebase and MultiPV support
- Trusted by grandmasters and every major platform
Cons
- Minimal UI — pure analysis, no play
- Android requires separate GUI app
- Position setup is keyboard-driven, not graphical
